This is the closest thing you'll get to a music video from me! I was sent an RGBDuino development board by some friends (who are loyal subscribers!), and decided to make a video demonstrating it's features. Apart from the kawaii anime girl print, the board has an inbuilt tone buzzer and RGB LEDs. It is easy to program, just like an Arduino UNO! Playing a sequence of composed tones is fairly simple, but what if you want to play any song? Using Fourier transforms, I did just that... sort of... Answering the question everyone has always wanted to know... the RGBDuino is kawaii, but does it perform worse than a normal UNO? For this video, I tested the clock speed of each board by running a simple addition loop, and when the loop was completed, an LED switched on. Since both boards claim to have the same clock speed, you would expect them to finish the race at the same time... And they did! NOTE: This is a trimmed version of a live stream which occurred on 5/22/2021. This trim removes dead-roll from the front and a few minutes of "be right back" title card in the middle. Otherwise the content is unchanged. The Jenny-O is a Generic IO board for a 6502-based system, built around the WDC65C22 Versatile Interface Adapter. The Jenny-O uses the IO portion of Ben Eater's 6502 architecture as a starting point, and uses the first page of the 8K of RAM that he sets aside for IO as space for up to 16 65C22, offering up to 32 8-bit parallel ports (or 256 serial lines, if bit-banging is your thing). The Jenny-O board has a 4-bit selector to set which of the 16 possible IO base addresses it should listen on, and the connector for each port exposes all 8 data bits, both control lines, and +5VDC and ground. The Jenny-O has all the address decode logic on-board, which makes it more complicated (and expensive) than it otherwise would have to be if the IO were integrated into the main board of the computer, but it also allows one board design to be reused for virtually any computer that puts IO at $6000-$60FF in 16-byte steps. With a little hacking it could be used for virtually any 8-bit system. The RIBBBIT65 is my attempt to develop and build a 65C02-based computer, inspired by Ben Eater's "Hello World from scratch" computer-on-a-breadboard. The RIBBBIT65_CORE board is just the WDC65C02 CPU with RAM and ROM, a clock oscillator, a little glue logic, a bus connector, and few lights and switches. The point of that is so that I can have a baseline of a working 65C02 machine against which I can build and experiment.
