Sausage Gravy RECIPE COURTESY OF REE DRUMMOND Level: Easy Total: 25 min Active: 25 min Yield: 12 servings Ingredients 1 pound breakfast sausage, hot or mild 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 3 to 4 cups whole milk, more to taste 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, more to taste Biscuits, warmed, for serving Directions With your finger, tear small pieces of sausage and add them in a single layer to a large heavy skillet. Brown the sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Sprinkle on half the flour and stir so that the sausage soaks it all up, then add more little by little. Stir it around and cook it for another minute or so, then pour in the milk, stirring constantly. Cook the gravy, stirring frequently, until it thickens. (This may take a good 10 to 12 minutes.) Sprinkle in the seasoned salt and pepper and continue cooking until very thick and luscious. If it gets too thick too soon, just splash in another 1/2 cup of milk or more if needed. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Spoon the sausage gravy over warm biscuits and serve immediately! Sharing with you 3 similar restaurant style base gravy that you can make in bulk and store frozen for up to 90 days! These 3 base gravy are Makhani gravy, white gravy, onion tomato chop masala gravy. The makhana gravy base is used to make paneer makhana, dal makhana and butter chicken. The white gravy base is used to make malai kofta, navratan korma, shahi paneer, kali mirch paneer, kali mirch chicken and many more dishes. The onion tomato chop masala gravy is used for many things like kadhai chicken, kadhai paneer, baigan bharta, dal tadka and many more. If frozen properly, each of these gravies can last you up to 90 days, provided they are not defrosted and frozen again. If you are a working person and do not have time to make fresh gravies every day, these 3 gravy base will come in very handy. Thank you for watching! 💫 And don’t forget to subscribe here: 🤍 Recipe : Makhni Gravy Ingredients: For base: 8 large tomatoes, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 2” ginger, chopped 7-8 garlic cloves 2” cinnamon 2 bay leaves 4-5 green cardamoms Salt to taste 4-5 Kashmiri red chillies To finish: ¼ cup butter ¼ cup oil 1 tsp caraway seeds 2 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder 1 cup tomato puree ¼ cup cream 1 tsp garam masala 1 tbsp kashuri methi, crushed 1 tsp honey Method: Boil together all the ingredients for the base with 2 cups water. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, cool and remove the cinnamon stick and bay leaves. grind to a smooth puree. Heat the oil and butter together in a pan. add the caraway seeds. Add the prepared gravy, tomato puree, Kashmiri red chili powder and the salt to taste. Bring to a boil. Finish with cream and kasuri methi,. You may add honey or sugar to contrl the tartness of the tomatoes. White Gravy Recipe Ingredients: 6 large Onions, sliced ¼ cup Cashew nuts ¼ cup melon seeds 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 4-5 Green cardamoms 2 Green chillies, slit Salt to taste 1 tsp White pepper powder To finish: 2 tbsp oil ½ cup Yogurt whisked ¼ cup cream Method: In a large pan, take 2 cups water and all the ingredients mentioned for the base. Bring to a boil and cover and cook for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, cool completely and grind to a smooth paste. To finish, heat oil in a pan. add the caraway seeds, and then the prepared gravy base. Add yoghurt, cream and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes. White gravy is ready. Onion-Tomato Chop Masala Gravy Ingredients: 5 Onions, finely chopped 5 Tomatoes, finely chopped ½ cup Oil 1 tsp Cumin seeds 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp Turmeric powder Salt to taste 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder 1 tsp Garam masala powder Method: Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté till translucent pink. Add the chopped ginger and green chilies. Sauté till golden. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder and mix well. Add the ginger garlic paste and sauté till fragrant. Add the chopped tomatoes, mix and cook covered for 5 minutes till the tomatoes re pulpy. Remove the lid and cook over low heat for 15 minutes till the oil floats on the top. Ingredients: For every 3 biscuits: 1 cup (5 oz.; 150g) all purpose or soft wheat flour 1.5 teaspoons (about 5g) baking powder 1/4 teaspoon (about 3g) kosher salt (if using table salt, that’s 1/8th teaspoon) 5 ounces (about 2/3rds of a cup) heavy cream For the sausage gravy: 4 ounces (120g) breakfast sausage (plus a little butter or oil if it’s too lean) 1 tablespoon flour 1 cup heavy cream (milk will also work) Freshly ground black pepper and salt 1. Preheat an oven to 425F. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add the heavy cream and mix into a shaggy dough. Do not knead it. Dump it onto a floured work surface and for it into a rough log about 3 inches wide and 9 inches long. Cut it into three biscuits with a sharp knife. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. (You can brush them with heavy cream or melted butter before baking for darker and more even browning, if you wish.) 2. Meanwhile make the gravy: cook the sausage in a medium skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until it’s not longer pink. If the pan is very dry, add a couple teaspoons of oil or butter to moisten it. Add 1 tablespoon of flour and stir to incorporate. Whisk in the heavy cream or milk. Bring to a simmer while stirring frequently and adjust the consistency with more heavy cream or milk if it’s too thick. Season aggressively with black pepper and salt. 3. When the biscuits are done, transfer to a plate and smother with the sausage gravy. Serve.

Use Ice Cube while grinding it. Chop some Onions thickly and saute it and keep it for cooling down and grind it to make its paste. While grinding the Onions, use some Ice Cubes. Chop some Tomatoes and Green Chilies and grind them as well. In a pan, put some Oil, Bay Leaves, Cardamoms, Cinnamon Sticks, Cloves, Big Cardamom, some Cumin Seeds and some Ginger and Garlic Paste in it. Cook it properly and then take out the Bay Leaves from it. Turn the flame slow and put some Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder and then put the Tomato paste and put some Salt in it. Cover it and cook it properly then put the Onion paste in it and cook it as well. After then, put some Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Sugar and the paste of Cashew Nuts and Melon Seeds in it. Cook the gravy properly till it releases the fat. In this way, Gravy will get ready and you can store it for long time by keeping it in fridge and you can make as many as dishes you like from this very useful Gravy. This restaurant style chicken shashlik recipe is a quick and simple fool proof recipe perfected just for you. #happycookingtoyou #FoodFusion Written Recipe: 🤍 Serves 4-5 Recipe in English: Ingredients: -Boneless chicken cubes ½ kg (1 inch size) -Soy sauce 1 tbs -Sirka (Vinegar) ½ tbs -Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 1 tsp -Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp -Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste -Chicken powder 1 tsp -Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) 2 tsp -Cooking oil 2 tbs -Shimla mirch (Capsicum) cubes 1 Cup -Pyaz (Onion) cubes 1 Cup -Tamatar (Tomatoes) deseeded & cubes 1 Cup -Cooking oil 2 tbs -Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 2 tsp -Adrak (Ginger) chopped 1 tsp -Tomato ketchup 1 Cup -Chilli sauce 3 tbs -Soy sauce 3 tbs -Sirka (Vinegar) 1 tbs -Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste -Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp -Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste -Safed mirch powder (White pepper powder) ½ tsp -Sugar 1 tsp -Water 1 Cup or as required -Chicken stock cube 1 -Cornflour 1-2 tsp -Water 3-4 tbs -Hara pyaz (Green onion) leaves chopped Directions: -In a bowl,add chicken,soy sauce,vinegar,red chilli crushed,black pepper powder,salt,chicken powder,garlic paste & mix well,cover & marinate for 25-30 minutes. -In a frying pan,add cooking oil,marinated chicken,mix well & cook on medium flame for 6-8 minutes then cook on high flame until it dries up. -Add capsicum,onion,tomatoes,mix well & sauté for a minute & set aside. -In a wok,add cooking oil,garlic,ginger & mix well. -Add tomato ketchup & mix well. -Add chilli sauce,soy sauce,vinegar,red chilli powder,black pepper powder,salt,white pepper powder, sugar,mix well & cook for 1-2 minutes. -Add water,chicken stock cube,mix well & bring it to boil. -In cornflour,add water & whisk well. -Now add dissolved cornflour,mix well & cook until it thickens. -Add cooked chicken with vegetables & mix gently. -Garnish with green onion leaves & serve!
